Beyond the Beach is a new residential estate in the Aspen valley conceived as a deeply personal sanctuary rooted in place, materiality, and family life.
Set within an expansive mountain landscape with views across the surrounding peaks, the home responds carefully to its environmental context while expressing the client’s distinctive aesthetic and passion for art. Large gabled volumes and generous gathering spaces are balanced by a sense of warmth and intimacy, creating an atmosphere that feels residential rather than monumental. A refined palette of live-finish zinc, meticulously detailed dry-stack stone, natural wood paneling, plaster, and dark bronze accents establishes a dialogue between strength and comfort. Interior spaces range from monastic and serene communal rooms to more expressive family-focused areas rich with color and personality.
Designed as a forever home, the project prioritizes daily livability, multigenerational gathering, wellness, and enduring craftsmanship while respecting the site's wildlife migration patterns and strict environmental regulations.
